Kano expresses willingness to partner investors on development
Kano State Government has reiterated its willingness to work closely with any investor that would complement its effort of boosting the Socio-economic well being of people in the State
The State Acting Governor also Commissioner for Education, Professor Hafiz Abubakar stated this, while receiving delegates from Unihealth Group that paid him a courtesy call at his office.
Hafiz who described Kano as the most densely populated and Center of Commerce in Nigeria, pointed out that the UniHealth Group has made a right thing for choosing Kano as their destination to execute their project.
According to him, “Kano State is a destination that has historical background of receiving and working with investors”.
He explained that having investment in Kano would serve people not only in Nigeria but also in the West Africa in general due to the State close commercial relationship with other Countries.
The Acting Governor further advised the team to interact with the investors met in the State to identify those areas that might have given them difficulties.
Hafiz assured the Group of the State Government support and cooperation towards realization of this project.
Earlier, the team leader also Group Managing Director of Unihealth Dr. Anurag Shah informed the Acting Governor that they were at the Government House to intimate him about their venture in Kano.
Anurag revealed that their organization has completed plan to set up a 50 plus bedded multi specialty Hospital in Kano with a team of local and international medical professionals who would be going round to offer medical services to the people of Kano.
He then appealed to the State Government to give them all the supports that could help to actualize their Goals.
Meanwhile, the Acting Governor has received a delegate from the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences, North West University Kano who paid him a courtesy call in his office.
The Dean of the Faculty, Abubakar S. Garba said they at the Acting Governor office to intimate him about the forthcoming International Conference organized by the Faculty titled “Contemporary Issues in Social and Management Sciences”
Abubakar explained that the Staff at the Faculty was working as a team to promote the University, noting that being member of the Governing Council, the Acting Governor had already set the foundation which any fist Class University required.
Responding, the Acting Governor Kano State Professor Hafiz Abubakar pointed out the Conference would served as an opportunity for the Faculty to ignite and continue with research through group workshops, Seminars, interaction and trainings.
He assured of the State Government usual support and cooperation to ensure that the School maintained its position of being among the best.
